GetPasswordChar method

GetPasswordChar Proto hWnd:HWND

Syntax

Invoke GetPasswordChar, hWnd

Function

Gets the PasswordChar property for an object.

Parameters

hWnd

Handle to the object.

Return value

Eax/Rax returns the character used to hide the text inside the object.

REMARKS: The returned character will be in the Ax or Al register, depending on whether the application is running as Unicode or not (see the IsAppUnicode method).
